Good Afternoon Shoppers,
I’m not sure whether I’ve mentioned that here at the Co-op we are in the process of converting to a POS (Point of Sale) system, that is a computerised with touch-screen monitors.Initially we will be trialling some open source software called Openbravo which has been recommended as being good for use in Co-ops whre there are many and assorted volunteers using the system. One of our generous Board members has donated a computer, keyboard and peripherals, we’ve gotten a 9-pin serial cable but we need a receipt printer and possibly an ethernet hub. If, by any chance, anyone has either of these items, I would love to hear about it.
I believe that when we do have the new system running, it will greatly expedite and enhance the till experience at our Co-op.
We have a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables arriving this afternoon and some other new products as well.
