The wonderful folks at Amnesty International are bringing a cavalcade of artistic goodness to the co-op tomorrow night in order to draw attention to the unregulated arm’s trade:

This project is a creative exploration of one of the world’s most pressing issues, arms trade, from a truly Australian perspective – ‘At Arm’s Length’. Few of us here can really imagine the terror of living in armed conflict, or fully appreciate the consequences of unregulated arms trade. Twelve artists tackle the issue through film, visual art, spoken word, performance, dance and music to uncover why the world needs an Arms Trade Treaty.

The possibility of an international Arms Trade Treaty will be tabled at the United Nations in July. ‘At Arm’s Length’ forms part of hundreds of events around the world campaigning for such a treaty. Learn more about the issues here.
