International Women’s Day Pedal Powered Cinema
International Women’s Day is this week!! We are super excited about our pedal powered screening of Black Chicks Talking tomorrow, Wednesday 6th March.

Doors open at 7.30, screening begins at 8.00pm. We’ll have all kinds of tasty snacks and drinks for sale, to help you settle into ‘movie mode’. Entry is by donation, with proceeds raised going to support the YWCA and the Co-op.

Join the event on facebook, or just rock up on the night. All welcome, women and men, members and non-members!
Recruitment is open for the three Manager positions at the Co-op. The job descriptions are on our website. If you have any questions, please email Applications are due by 6th March 2013 (tomorrow).

We are also looking for another person to join the team as lunch coordinator. You will be responsible for preparing and serving one lunch a week, working with Co-op volunteers and staff. Details are available on our website. Please email your applications to by 6th March 2013 (also tomorrow).

Harvest Festival
The Canberra Harvest Festival will be held Sunday 23rd March from 12.00pm – 4.00pm at the Canberra Environment Centre. The Co-op will have a stall and we are looking for people to volunteer to help out on the stall for an hour or two. If you are interested, please email:

Acoustic Soup
The next Acoustic Soup is on Wednesday 13th March (next week)! Food and music from 6.30pm, members and students $8, everyone else $10. Look forward to seeing you there.

You Are Here Festival
We’re excited to be part of the You Are Here Festival this year! The first event to be held here will be  Australia 2050, Sunday 17th March.

You can guarantee a place at this event by pre-registering.  There are 30 pre-registration places available, leaving 15 places available for door entry (no pre-registration required).  We would like to thank you for your participation and time with a $50 gift voucher.  Those who pre-register by 6 March can choose from the following range of gift voucher options:
