I see that you have a list of cleaning products, including those for washing clothes. I’d appreciate it if you would please tell me what you have and the cost. Thanks very much. All the best.

July 5, 2011 at 9:43 pm
Hi, I have noticed that you sell products for the face and body. I am particularly interested in soaps and body lotions. Are these products organic as well?
July 7, 2011 at 10:27 am
Hi, we are selling some body wash without chemicals with some certified organic ingredients. We also have some organic shampoos and conditioners. Finally, we sell some soaps that are certified organic made in Canberra without palm oil.
July 12, 2011 at 11:02 pm
I am so excited about this store. I am in the process of applying for a permanent resident visa for Canberra and this shop sounds absolutely super. The bonus with volunteering my time will be meeting other people let alone the discount.
July 23, 2011 at 8:48 pm
Hello, i am wondering if you sell natural fresh cows milk thats hasnt been processed?
July 27, 2011 at 10:10 pm
Hi Nic, if you mean raw cow’s milk, the Co-op doesn’t stock it at the moment. I understand the problem is that there are no nearby producers, and there are problems maintaining a chilled supply chain from producers interstate. As Nature Intended at Belconnen markets has stocked Cleopatra’s Bath Milk from Gympie in Queensland in the past, but I’m not sure if they still do. NB – it needs to be labelled “bath milk”, “pet milk” or for animal feeding only to satisfy laws which require milk for human consumption to be pasteurised. For some reason, goat milk may be legally sold unpasteurised and is available from Choko Bai Jo and other locations. Good luck, Zoe

Hi Sue, we sell unbleached spelt flour in bulk, so if you bring your own bags or containers you will be able to buy as much as you like.
Cheers, Zoe

October 9, 2011 at 4:55 pm
Hi
I’m looking for somewhere to purchase organic fruit and veg. How much of your product range is organic?
Do you have organic fruit and veg boxes as well?
Thanks
Grace
October 10, 2011 at 6:00 pm
Hi Grace, all produce is the Co-op is certified organic. Occasionally members sell excess produce grown without synthetic chemicals that is not certified, which is labelled. Every item is labelled with whether it is non-organic, organic, biodynamic, etc.
We also have a fruit and veg box service – http://foodco-opshop.com.au/fruit-and-vegetable-boxes-orders/
October 24, 2011 at 9:28 pm
Hi there
Do you stock the following?
all purpose gluten-free flour
vegan butter
tapioca starch
xantham gum
sorghum flour
quinoa flakes
Thanks
Alexandra
October 25, 2011 at 10:34 pm
Hi Alexandra, the co-op has a large range of unpackaged gluten free items. We don’t presently have in stock Nuttelex or something similar, and I don’t think we have xanthan gum, but most of the other products you’ve inquired about will be in stock. The best approach is to come in and have a look, there’s an extensive range of grains and flours and because the Co-op has a higher sales volume than many places selling these products, you’ll find they are super-fresh.
February 16, 2012 at 10:46 am
Hi,
Do you stock white maize flour?
February 20, 2012 at 9:35 am
Hi Kimberly, do you mean nixtamalised flour, eg for making tortillas (which we don’t stock at the moment, AFAIK it’s not available wholesale/in bulk in Australia) or cornmeal/polenta made from white maize?
March 6, 2012 at 3:12 pm
The type of maize flour I’m looking for is the cornmeal type that’s used in Africa.

Hi Joe, is powdered brewer’s yeast the same as nutritional yeast? (yellow flakes, looks kind of like sawdust
) Also, how much and what size is your coconut oil?
Cheers
May 25, 2012 at 6:11 pm
Hi Sarah,
Its not the same unfortunately! I have been looking into a bulk supplier of nutritional yeast but haven’t found one yet.
Our coconut oil is in a 20 L barrel and is $33.40 / Kg.
All the best,
-Joe.

August 7, 2012 at 6:26 pm
Hi
I have got a couple of questions regarding bulk buy. Is there a particular minimal amount that need to be bought, and if so what is it? Does need pre order in advance? Does bulk buy apply to all products or just some? How is discount calculated – on top of 20% volunteer or on top of 10% member only?
we were thinking of buying things we know we consume a lot of in bulk which eould akso save us extra trips to to shopping. Things like: bag of potatoes, box of apples, kgs if juicing carrots, bunches of spinach/kale/greens, kgs of spelt flour, quinoa, canned tomatoes and chickpeas etc
Thank you
August 14, 2012 at 2:55 pm
Hi Lydia, thanks for your question. Here’s the deal:
Bulk discount applies to packaged produce only, ie not fresh fruit, veg, dairy or soy products for example. Bulk discount applies when you buy a unit of the product in the size the Co-op purchases it, eg a case of canned tomatoes, a case of bottles of juice, a 25 kilo bag of flour.
You’re welcome to buy what’s in stock, but may need to pre-order some items. If you’re considering a bulk purchase of a number of items, please give the Co-op a call on (02) 6230 7505
There is no automatic discount when you become a member anymore. The discount works as follows:
Membership = no discount
Membership Bulk Buy = 10%
Active membership = 20%
Bulk buy active membership = 20% + then another 10%.
Hope that helps,
Zoe
